Story Of Ayudha Pooja:

•     Ayudha Puja is also observed or celebrated as a Saraswathi pooja. Ayudha Pooja or Saraswati Puja is a Hindu religious festival that falls in October or September month, on the ninth day of the bright half of the moon’s cycle of 15 days. 
•     Another important festival in the same month of September/ October is Navaratri. Navaratri is a small festival that is celebrated all over the world. On this day people observe fasting and pooja to get various good things. 
•     This ayudha pooja is related to Navratri and golu. 

     In Ayudha and Saraswathi pooja, we celebrate goddesses Saraswathi and Lakshmi. Lakshmi and Saraswati’s goddesses are principles of Hinduism.

History Of  Saraswathi Puja And Ayudha Pooja:

The goddess Saraswathi was found in the medieval age to present. The importance of Saraswathi Devi is seen right from the Vedic era. She is the consort of Lord Brahma. Goddess Saraswathi is referred to as the mother of mellifluous music and fluent speech. She is known as the deity of Purifying. She forms the essential part of the three deities Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswati, and Mahaparvati. Goddess Saraswathi is called the ”Mother Of Vedas’‘.

Rituals Performed on ஆயுத பூஜை, சரஸ்வதி பூஜை:

•     We celebrate Ayudha pooja and Saraswathi pooja on the 9th day of Durga Navaratri days. After Ayudha puja and Saraswati puja, we celebrate Vijayadhasami. 
•     On this most auspicious day, we use our instruments including all working things from kitchen items to office and books. 
•      People start cleaning their homes and vehicles. And use flowers to decorate their home and working places like offices, schools, temples, and other places. 
•      If you are performing puja in the evening then don’t touch the tools and objects till the next day morning. 
•      Keep books and tools in front of Goddess Saraswati, she is a god of knowledge.
•     Ayudha puja and Saraswathi Puja are very famous in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharastra. 

Benefits Of Saraswathi Puja:

Doing Saraswathi puja at home will remove all the career and education-related hurdles because Saraswathi Devi is the Goddess of Education. She is also related to music and all other arts. On that day everyone used to keep their personal assets in front of Goddess Saraswathi for pooja.

Saraswathi Puja Celebrations in Tamil Nadu: 

    In Tamil Nadu, Ayudha and Saraswathi puja is a big celebration. On this occasion, people do puja for Goddess Lakshmi and Saraswati. In Tamil Nadu, Saraswati puja is celebrated on the ninth day of Navaratri. 

    People keep books and working instruments in puja to get blessings from goddesses. Before the puja people wash all vehicles and put turmeric and flowers in all the places homes, offices, showrooms, and other working places. 

Saraswathi Puja and Ayudha Puja Celebrations in Kerala:

   Ayudha and Saraswathi Puja is also known as Astra puja. In Kerala Saraswati Puja is celebrated on the ninth day of Navratri, So this is normally known as the Navarathri festival in Kerala. This is the day for Goddess Lakshmi and Saraswati. People do prayer and worshipped to goddess Saraswati to get knowledge with their instruments and books.
