Brass Lord Natarajar Statue depicts his dancing form with flying strands of hair, raised left leg, and right leg stamping on the demon with a circular arch and an inverted lotus designed round with square base.
In this brass sculpture, he has 4 hands in which two hands will be holding damaru and fire and showing Abhaya mudra (for protection and liberation). Hence he is termed as the king or lord of the dance. Lord Nataraja’s gentle form of dance is called Lasya and the violent form of dance is called Thandavam.
