Kala Bhairava is one of the Avatar of Lord Shiva to kill asura “Anthaka Suran”. He creates from Lord shivan third eye (Forhead Eye). He is considered as a son of lord shivan . He tooks 8 forms based on the appearance and called “Ashta Bhairavas” .
Kalai Bhairava – “Kala” Stands for Time in tamil language, “Bhairava” Stands for “terrible form”. He can help us in necessary difficult situations and will change our fate of entire life.
Who is Kala Bhairava?
These Bhairava’s are safe guard the Kaasi Temple in eight directions . Usually Kala bhairavas placed in all shivan temples for protection. They create to kill asuras and protect us.
we put temple key in kala bhairava’s feet after temple closed. It is traditionally followed in all lord shivan temples.
Ashta Bhairava’s – The Eight Forms of Bhairava’s:
1. Asitanga Bhairava:
He sits on the swan bird and holds 4 weapons which is Rosary , Sword (Kathi), Kamandal (Kamandalam), Kabala(Skull cup).
Worshipping Asitanga Bhairava increases our creativity and success progress in our life.
2. Krodha Bhairava:
Krodha Bhairava Possess Eagle as his vaganam(Vehicle). He holds weapons Sangu, Chakra, Gathai, Kabala (Skull cup).
3. Unmatta Bhairava:
Unmatta Bhairava possess Horse as his vaganam (Vehicle). He holds weapons in his four hands which is Sword, Kabala (Skull Cup) , Pestle, Shield.
4. Ruru Bhairava:
He is standing in front of OX. He holding weapons deer, axe, sword , bowl. He is facing south east. Goddess Maheshwari is divine wife of this Ruru Bhairava.
5. Kapala Bhairava:
He is standing in front of elephant. It is Vahana(Vehicle) for Kapala Bhairava. He holds four weapons thundarbolt, sword, ,noose, Bowl.
6. Chanta Bhairava:
He is Fair Complexioned Form of Bhairava. He uses Peacock as his vahanam(Vehicle) . He holds 4 instruments in our hand bow, arrow , Sword, bowl.
7. Bheeshana Bhairava:
He is in the form of Red color complexioned Bhairava. He uses lion as his vahanam( Vehicle) . He holds Four instruments Skull cup, Sword, Lotus, Trisulam Vel .
8. Samhara Bhairava
He is in yellow orange complexion form and possess ten arms. He uses dog as his Vagana(Vehicle). He holds instruments in each hands trident , drum , Sangu, mace, chakra, sword, Skull cup ,gadwangam , rope and goad.

The Best day to worshipping Kala Bhairava is Theipirai Astami, Especially theipirai astami falls on tuesday which is most auspicious day to praying kala bhairava.
In Weekdays Tuesday, Friday , Sunday (Raghu Kaalam) are best days to worshipping Kala Bhairava.

Best thiti : Theipirai Astami , Full moon , New Moon.
Kala Bhairava Likes Sandal abishekam and also like red arali flower .
We should pray kala bhairava at night times and keep fasting until complete the pooja. For better benefits , we can pray kala bhairava with chanting his gayathiri mantra for 108 times.
Also we can lighting 9 or 11 diya’s while worshipping kala bhairava and put pumpkin diya.
Kala Bhairava’s vahana and Infertility:
